This is exactly what I've noticed in the lesson of living to BE rather than living to DO. The hustle culture has been deeply engrained in our psyches and that constant striving to "do more" has come from a negative pattern of desiring external validation. At least that is what I've learned on my path; living from pressure and a forcefulness to do more is no way to live.
In this episode I dive into another perspective around this life lesson and how I'm choosing to integrate it into my own life. I find that often times a new perspective is a seed planted in your mind that can help strengthen your awareness through an important shift in your belief system.

Hello hello hello, welcome back to another episode for Messages for the Empath Soul. It’s been a little while since I have sat down and decided to share a message with you. When we learn life lessons I’ve been able to witness that we learn them in a cycle or spiral pattern. We constantly come back to the same lesson again and again and again because the first time that we learn it we are not truly embodying that wisdom yet, it’s a seed that has been planted.
As we move through the cycle of life it’s a spiral and you grow on the spiral. You are then able to see the lesson from a higher perspective the next time around. The message for today is for you no matter where you are at in your journey. Whether it’s a lesson you’ve heard before or it’s something new. This will help you to turn this information and knowledge into wisdom so you can start embodying it in your life. It could be a brand new seed that will be planted into your consciousness, allowing you to be a little more aware on how you want to apply this to your life.
I’m reminding myself that I am still learning this and practicing. There is no such thing as perfection, we are figuring it out as we go and each time we try we are able to try with a little more awareness than the previous time.

Today we are coming together for the topic, when life is about being rather than doing. As I said this is something that I’ve been working through for a long time.
Back in 2021 I was sitting with Spirit and I very clearly heard a message, “this year is about leaving pressure and finding purpose”. Since that day I’ve been on a journey of understanding what pressure feels like to me, and how I can release this tension to come back into that soul centered state of purpose.
I can see clearly that Spirit/Creator/ Source, is wanting us to focus more on our state of BEING rather than our state of DOING. In this episode I want to break this down for you and I both, so together we can find inspiration and motivation on our paths, guiding us back into a purposeful life.
Why is the state of DOING so bad?
Why is life really about your state of BEING?
How can you bring your focus back to a state of BEING?
WHY IS THE STATE OF DOING SO BAD?
It’s not that the state of doing is bad, it’s actually that our subconscious state has been programmed to attach our idea of worthiness to our output, or how much we accomplish.
Here are a few key points I share more deeply in this episode:
Societal conditioning on hustle culture has us prioritizing these unattainable “to-do” lists and the idea of constant output
You don’t see Mother Earth in a constant state of growth, she needs rest, she needs to plant seeds, she needs to release and recharge
Your nervous system and your energetic capacity doesn’t have the ability to be in a constant state of action
When you are living from a state of DOING, you are more focused on the task at hand rather than how you feel in the process
This is when pressure, tension, and stress builds in your body
You may feel this as a need to force yourself to do something, or a feeling of needing to rush into action when a problem occurs… this comes from your subconscious belief that your worthiness is tied to your output
WHY IS LIFE REALLY ABOUT YOUR STATE OF BEING?
The peace, freedom and joy you desire to feel in life is all felt in your being, in your human experience. When you are only focused on output, you forget to focus on your internal state. What is your internal state? It’s how you feel, your emotional state, your energetic state.
Here are the key points I share more deeply:
The statement “to be or not to be” is a reflection on to live or to die. Life is about LIVING. To be is to be alive, so when you bring your focus back on your state of being you are reminding yourself “how am I choosing to live? How am I experiencing life?”
When you begin to focus on your state of being you are able to more quickly recognize when something feels misaligned or disconnected. Then you can heal, shift, cleanse or release whatever may be weighing on you
When you are focused on your state of being, you get to choose what you fill your life with because you are focused on what feels good to you
Let’s look at why you might do something… working for instance. Maybe you have a particular job in order to make money so that you can then afford a life that brings you peace, freedom or joy. But if you are feeling pressured, stressed or forced in your work then you are pulling yourself further away from the peace, freedom and joy you desire. When you bring your focus back into your state of being first, you can begin to create that freedom, peace and joy for yourself right now. Then you enjoy your work more, which means you enjoy your life more. And if you begin to realize that your work feels misaligned or disconnected, you can empower yourself to change your line of work and find something else.
Life is about your state of BEING because you get to experience the energy, the emotions and the feeling that you desire right here and now.
HOW CAN YOU BRING YOUR FOCUS BACK TO A STATE OF BEING?
This is the basis of a spiritual journey or a growth journey. Coming home to yourself and learning how to create a life that you desire.
Meditation is how you can begin to connect deeper with your body and how you feel.
Journaling is how you can process the heavy thoughts of stress, worry and pressure.
Playing is how you can fill your life with fun and enjoyment.
Connecting with Spirit/Universe is how you remember that you are supported through this lifetime.
SELF REFLECTION CREATES SOUL CONNECTION
Self reflection is a powerful tool that helps you to better understand yourself and strengthen your connection with the Universe. Which is where you build trust and find a way to surrender more easily.
Use these journal prompts to guide yourself in leaving the pressure and finding more purpose in your life. In other words, making life more about BEING rather than DOING.
1 - When do you feel pressure or stress build up most in life?
2 - What are the thoughts you hear most when you are trying to relax or have fun instead of accomplishing something?
3 - How does it feel to know that you are meant to have fun and enjoy the moment more?
4 - What is a feeling you want to connect with more in life (i.e. peace, freedom, connection)?
I really hope that this message has inspired you, motivated you, or empowered you to create subtle changes in your life and to connect deeper with your soul path.

Remember, your life is happening right now. There is not some future moment you need to rush forward to. Be here, take a deep breath, know that you are meant to be in this moment.
Life will always bring more lessons.
Your soul will always guide you to more healing.
Your mind will always require support to see from a bigger perspective.
You will always desire to be seen, heard and understood.
Be here now for yourself. In time you will feel the call to share more light and compassion with the world.
